Well Performance Modelling

Well Performance Modelling

  • Model the pressure loss from the sand face to the wellhead using industry-accepted software package: PROSPER (Petroleum Experts).
  • Model the reservoir inflow performance for vertical, deviated, horizontal and multi-lateral oil and gas wells.
  • Matching well test data for the evaluation of inflow performance, reservoir parameters, mechanical and non-Darcy skin.
  • Selection of vertical lift correlations to correctly model the pressure loss along the well bore allowing for gravity, friction, acceleration, hold-up and multi-phase flow behaviour.
  • Using well performance models as either a data matching or predictive tool to generate performance curves for wells over all anticipated conditions (decreasing tubing head pressure, increasing water cut and/or GOR).
  • Evaluating well performance by incorporating artificial lift technologies such as gas lift, electric submersible pumps, jet pumps, multiphase subsea pumps and cavity displacement pumps.
  • Detailed temperature modelling throughout the life cycle of the well (identifying potential flow assurance issues).
  • Quantification of well intervention opportunities – identifying incremental production opportunities such as adding perforations, isolating water producing zones or optimising artificial lift.
  • Design water or gas injection/disposal wells.
